Located by the city of ten thousand buddhas. I had better vegetarian food but considered they don't use msg, I gave 4 stars. Minus 1 star as the wait for the food was very very slow. Maybe only one stove at the kitchen cooking. The fried rice had the soy sauce wok hey, to my surprise I think this was the first time ever a fried rice didn't use white rice but probably germ rice ( more nutritious!) . Seaweed roll topped with zucchini was crispy, tasted more like liquified gado gado peanut sauce with hints of Tom yum, ya, it was sweet, nothing spicy nor sour, pretty tasty as an appetizer. Eggplant with basil was good to go with white rice. Sweet and sour protein also had a good balance of sweet and sour. We went on a Monday noon and the restaurant was super packed and there was a wait.

My first time there. 1. Noodles were absolutely awesome. Lots of veggies, packed with flavor. Going back just for these noodles. 2. Sweet and sour thingies. Don't ask me what the soy protein they use for this is called, I don't know. I can tell you that it feels like chicken, has great flavor, and it's an awesome dish that I highly recommend. 3. Steam veggies. Also tasty and fresh. 4. Spring Rolls - hot and fresh. Careful, they will burn your tongue. Service was awesome. The ladies helping use were really invested in whether I liked the food or not, seeing as how this was my firs time there. Place was clean. A little crowded (which is good), but clean. Go there! Give them a try! You won't regret it! Remember, CASH ONLY!

The last time my family and I visited this establishment was before the pandemic, and we were glad to see that it was open for dining again. This vegetarian restaurant is located on the grounds of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. All dishes are sattvic, so no asafoetida, chives, garlic, green onions, onions, and MSG. In addition to temple visitors, we saw a lot of locals having lunch as well. No wait on the Saturday we visited, which could be d/t the fact that it was Veterans' Day weekend. Our order: 大麥茶 Roasted Barley Tea Pot ($2.00): Includes 1 free refill +Nutty and smoky 餃子 Homemade Vegetable Dumplings (8 pcs - $6.95): +Good amount of flavorful vegetable filling -Skins were thick and a bit gummy 炒麵 House Special Chow Mein ($8.95): +Good wok hei +Chow mein was perfectly cooked. +Plenty of crisp vegetables & juicy mushrooms +Not too salty 雪荺 Snow Lily - Sauteed Konjac, Shiitake Mushroom, Bell Pepper, Housemade Sauce & Basil ($9.95): +Consistent quality: It tasted the same as previous visits! +Konjac had a chewy texture that soaked up the fragrant sauce. +Good amount of crisp vegetables & juicy mushrooms 甜酸素香 Sweet & Sour Soy Protein w/Bell Peppers, Cucumber, & Pineapple ($10.95): +Sweet & sour sauce was balanced: We dipped the dumplings in the sauce. +Vegetables were crisp -Soy protein balls had a mealy texture: Previously, they were larger and chewier. *Verdict: No frills Malaysian-Indo-Chinese vegetarian restaurant with large portions of flavorful fare at small prices. I recommend the House Special Chow Mein and Snow Lily!

A simple but flavorful menu of vegetarian food. I tried the stir fried curry noodles, which included sautéed bean sprouts, napa cabbage and carrot. The opportunity to eat at the City of 10,000 Buddhas, while heating bells and chanting in the distance came before beat. The food arrived quickly after ordering. The restaurant was simply decorated and includes Buddhist literature you can read while waiting for food.

If you've never been to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, you should definitely visit! ‍ We stopped by on our way to Mendocino, and it was amazing. We really enjoyed walking around and exploring the beautiful and peaceful grounds. We dined at the Jyun Kang Vegetarian restaurant and had crispy noodles and vegetables, fried rolls, and sweet and sour protein balls. All were very tasty! instagram: jax.vegan.eats

On way to Mendocino Headlands state park, we yet again stopped at Jyun Kang Restaurant, today. Ordered for, Appetisers : Spring rolls, Dumplings and Satay Sticks; Soup: Hot & Sour Soup; Entrée: Stir Fry Broccoli, Tofu in Black Bean sauce, Chowmein & Singapore Noodles [had ordered Fried Rice, which had finished by then]. We were 3 people and this much food was lots for us, so we had to pack some of the food left. Service was prompt, despite the restaurant being absolutely full. Really appreciate our server who seemed to be a student volunteer. She was smiling and helpful, despite the rush. The food came in odd combinations, one starter and one gravy entree together, and similarly the rest, soup and tofu came in right at the end, so all through it was a difficult choice as to what to eat with what (the combinations became very odd), however, overall it was an okay experience as the food tasted well & fresh.

Amazing vegetarian delicacies at a very very reasonable price. A real treasure for those who live locally. Wish there was an equivalent in my area.

Nothing like eating vegetarian food at the Buddhist Temple on Lunar New Year! Every table seemed to have ordered the satay skewer. I expected it to taste like tofu, but to my surprise it tasted like meat LOL the texture when you bite into it is not sofu, but rather chewy As you would expect, the staff there are friendly and patient, and the inside is clean with basic renovations that are bare, functional, appropriate, and clean. Of course would definitely come back, especially on Chinese new year!

My family & I are thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. The food is delicious, the service by the multilingual, all-volunteer wait staff was excellent. The chefs will prepare the dishes with less oil & salt if you ask as the sauces aren't pre-packaged. My brother had dine here before so he insisted that we eat lunch here then proceed to the sanctuary for the mid-afternoon service. I will happily come back for the food!

Been wanting to visit here since I heard about this Vegetarian restaurant. The food was good and the prices are reasonable. We were greeted then seated right away. We ordered the egg rolls, hot and sour soup, basil mushrooms, sweet and sour protein and stir fry rice. The place was pretty busy so our waitress forgot o bring our waters I would recommend the sweet and sour it was my favorite of what we ordered. Remember cash only restaurant
